For the Spring 2021 semester, all field observations will be virtual, unless otherwise indicated. Information about how to set up your Atlas virtual observation account can be set up by following this link. Here is a direct link to the Atlas database of classroom case studies. Please discuss alternatives with me, including in-person observations.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, as an individual, complete 5 hours of observations (or the Atlas equivalent). To demonstrate your learning for each observation, briefly (~150 words) raise and answer a question about the observation that is informed by a theme addressed in ED503.
As an individual, you will complete 5 hours of observations in one classroom. These experiences will be coordinated with Mrs. Lisa Sugar. It is your responsibility to provide Dr. Shutkin with a completed field experience form to verify that this requirement has been met. Failure to do so will result in a grade of incomplete.
